A message from United Way of Anchorage

United Way of Anchorage adheres to the highest level of accountability in all aspects of operations.  Each year, a certified public accounting firm completes an in-depth review of the financial operations and management of our organization and out financial statements to ensure compliance with all accounting standards for not-for-profits.  The independent auditors report the results of the annual audit and the audited financial statements directly to the Finance Committee of the United Way of Anchorage's Board of Director, which then reports the findings to the full Board of Directors. 

KPMG, LLP the certified public accountant firm which conducted the audit for fiscal year 2007, issued an unqualified opinion of United Way of Anchorage’s audited financial statements.  The financial statements and KPMG, LLP’s opinion can be viewed via the first link below.
